Coding

Much like mathematics, programming is both superb cognitive training, a model for understanding minds and the universe, and a valuable professional skill. Also like math, it is cumulative in nature – it builds in complexity (and utility, of course) over time. To that extent, one is more probable to achieve mastery if one begins early and practices a reasonable amount for a long period of time.
